Sailcloth needs to be incredibly strong in order to survive out in the elements and can be made from a number of materials, such as nylon fabrics, polyester fabrics and reinforced monofilm.
There are a number of Challenge Sailcloth types available. Newport is the perfect choice for those interested in coastal cruising, who need well-engineered fabric with competitive pricing. Fastnet works well for long-distance cruising, perfect for the Med and Caribbean thanks to its UV and abrasion protection. Marblehead is great for high and low aspect rigs, as well as for racing. Warp Drive is the only true radial fabric and is perfectly straight thanks to the way the warp yarns are tensioned. Fibremax 44 & 64 are fantastic for racing and cruising symmetric and asymmetric sails. Fibremax is available in a wide range of colours. Code Zero Fabric is ideal for use in specialist Code Zero Sails.
Spinnaker Cloth is crafted from strong nylon that is coated with a PU coating to improve the stability and provide a fantastic strength-to-weight ratio. The zero-porosity nature of the finish also makes cutting on vacuum tables efficient.
